Use and purchases

Terms of use

Brief information about using BooksMy and the Pro purchase.

Apple Standard EULA

For the license to use the app, see the Apple Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).

The agreement covers the license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control under the usage rules, the limits on copying and distribution, external services, and liability provisions. This page is a short summary; it does not replace the full text of the agreement.

Free version and Pro

In the free version, the limit for adding books from the BooksMy › + menu is 10 books in total, and an app-open ad may be shown. At the limit you can choose to watch a short ad to add each new book. Your existing books are never locked.

Pro is a one-time, lifetime purchase; it removes this adding limit and the ads. Payment is made through Apple’s App Store services. Check the current price on the App Store purchase screen in the app before you buy.

Restoring purchases

You don’t need to pay again for the same Pro entitlement you bought before. Use Settings › Pro features › Restore Purchases with the Apple Account you bought Pro with. This does not restore your library; see the difference between the two restore operations in the FAQ.

Refund requests

For a purchase made through the App Store, you can send your refund request through Apple. Apple decides eligibility; a refund isn’t guaranteed. For the steps, see Apple’s refund guide.

Privacy and support

How your data is processed is explained in the privacy policy. For problems with the app or your purchase entitlement, you can write to support.
